Nico won! …Of course. Allie was second, and I’m very proud, as a fellow ballet dancer. Miles was third - wow. Just goes to show, the sympathy vote always wins (I probably wouldn’t have voted for him at all if he hadn’t messed up on his choreo and looked so despondent about it).

Speaking of sympathy, I always knew that Nico was going to win, but when he mentioned that he was deaf in one ear - slam dunk. Done and done. Hot, with a minor disability? Doesn’t get much more appealing than that :P Not to adolescent girls, anyway. Just like I knew that when Joshua (SYTYCD US S4) said that when he was younger he couldn’t afford dance lessons, and would pay by doing chores in the studio, he would get the majority vote. Perfect Cinderella story. Lesson: Always give them something to go “Awww” about. Which is why perfect people, like Will (US S4), Vincent, and Lisa (both CA S1) went home before their time.

As for Natalli, my Natalli, I am very disappointed that she placed fourth… I always thought she was the one who truly deserved to win. But, oh well - I’m sure they’ll hire her on as a choreographer or something. They better.

What a fantastic (albeit slightly inapporpriate) season! There was more sex, kissing, stripping and biting than any other SYTYCD program can boast! Seriously. In the entire four seasons of America’s SYTYCD, I don’t think they’ve had dancers rip their shirts off/get their shirts ripped off/get their shirts PEELED off (slowly!) as often as our one single Canadian season. Plus the “spontaneous” kissing. And the biting. And did I mention the stripping? My god. It was like porn for women up there. Totally PG. And the totally sexified dances. SO MUCH SEX IN THE DANCES. DUDE. There wasn’t a single episode that didn’t make me blush. 

But in the end - Nico. I do heart Nico, always have. He just goes to prove my theory that if Canada’s good for anything, it’s good for gorgeous men. And women, of course. But seriously - the men. And I’ve grown up with boys from everywhere… these boys are something else…
